TERMS AND CONDITIONS Effective Date: 3/23/2025

Welcome to Lotus Life LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing and using our website (lotuslifeks.com) and services—including therapy, yoga, yoga therapy, Reiki, biofield tuning, sound healing, and other wellness offerings—you agree to the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

  1. Services Provided include: Mental Health Therapy (available to residents of Kansas & Missouri, provided under state licensure and ethics codes). Wellness Services (yoga, yoga therapy, Reiki, sound healing, biofield tuning, and related holistic modalities).

A. Therapy Services

  • Therapy services are only available to clients 18 years and older who reside in Kansas or Missouri.

  • Therapy services are governed by HIPAA and state mental health laws.

  • Participation in therapy does not guarantee specific outcomes.

  • Emergencies: If you are experiencing a crisis or emergency, do not use this website. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

B. Wellness Services

  • Yoga therapy, Reiki, sound healing, and biofield tuning are holistic wellness practices and not a substitute for medical or mental health care.

  • We do not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions. Always consult with a licensed healthcare professional before starting any new wellness practice.

  • Results vary based on individual needs and engagement.


  1. Booking & Payment Policies

A. Appointments

  • All therapy sessions must be scheduled in advance verbally with your therapist over the phone or in person.

  • All wellness sessions must be scheduled in advance via Acuity Scheduling.

B. Payment & Fees

  • Mental Health Therapy:

    • Therapy services may be billed to insurance (Aetna & United Healthcare) if applicable. Clients are responsible for any co-pays, deductibles, or uncovered services.

    • We accept: credit card, cash, etc. Therapy services can use FSA and HSA.

  • Wellness services (yoga, yoga therapy, Reiki, biofield tuning, and sound healing) 

    • Wellness services (yoga therapy, Reiki, biofield tuning, and sound healing) cannot be billed to insurance.

    • Payment is required at the time of booking for wellness services.

    • We accept: credit card, cash, etc.

    • Sound healing, Reiki, and yoga therapy are generally not covered by HSA/FSA unless specific conditions are met.

C. Cancellation & Refund Policy Cancellation and rescheduling policies vary depending on the service booked. Clients are responsible for reviewing the specific cancellation terms for their selected service at the time of booking.

  • Therapy Appointments:

    • Require 24-hour notice for cancellation or rescheduling.

    • Late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) or missed appointments (no-shows) will result in a $60 fee.

    • Sessions may be converted to telehealth at no charge in cases of illness, weather, or other extenuating circumstances.

    • Fees for no-show/late cancellations will be charged to the credit card on file and will not be billed to insurance.

    • Frequent cancellations (3 or more in 6 months or 2 consecutive) or missed appointments may result in referral to another provider and termination of treatment.

  • Private Individual Wellness Sessions (Yoga Therapy, Reiki, Sound Healing, Biofield Tuning):

  • Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance may be eligible for a credit or refund.

  • No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled session are non-refundable. Full payment will be charged for cancellations within 24 hours.

  • Refunds are not applicable for services that have already been provided.

  • Rescheduling prior to 24 hours before the appointment may be refunded or credited.

  • Late arrivals will not extend the session time.

  • Private Group Sound Healing or Yoga:

    • We operate a 7-day cancellation policy for these sessions.

    • If less than 7 days' notice is given, we will charge you 50% of the agreed price for that session.

    • Full payment will be charged if you cancel a private group session with less than 24-hour notice.

    • Refunds are not applicable for services that have already been provided.

  • Yoga Classes and Sound Bath Classes:

    • Prepaid classes and absence from classes are non-refundable.

    • We have a 6-hour class cancellation policy. You must cancel at least 6 hours prior to your class; otherwise, you will still be charged.

    • You must arrive for class on time. The door locks at the start of class. We are not responsible for no-shows due to late arrival.

    • Class Passes are non-refundable, non-extendable, non-sharable, and non-transferable.

  • Workshops, Series, or Event Cancellation:

    • Require 48-hour email notice before the event for refunds.

    • Absence from a workshop or series is non-refundable.

  • Cancellation by Lotus Life LLC:

    • If Lotus Life cancels a private session, class, workshop, or event, you will receive a full refund or full credit toward your Lotus Life account.


  1. Client Responsibilities By using our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your health and wellness history.

  • Follow safety recommendations and disclose any medical concerns before participating in wellness sessions.

  • Respect confidentiality for therapy services, which will be maintained unless exceptions apply (e.g., risk of harm, court orders).

  • Refrain from inappropriate behavior, including harassment, discriminatory remarks, or violating session guidelines.


  1. Confidentiality & Privacy

  • Therapy services are subject to HIPAA regulations and state confidentiality laws.

  • Wellness services are not covered by HIPAA but follow ethical guidelines for privacy and discretion.

  • Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle personal data.


  1. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

  • Our services are provided as-is without any guarantees.

  • We are not responsible for any injuries, damages, or adverse effects resulting from your participation in yoga therapy, Reiki, sound healing, biofield tuning, or other wellness services.

  • Therapy services are not emergency care and should not replace professional medical or psychiatric treatment.


  1. Intellectual Property

  • All content on this website, including text, images, branding, and session materials, is owned by Lotus Life LLC and may not be copied, distributed, or used without permission.


  1. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas and the State of Missouri. Any disputes must be resolved in Johnson County, Kansas.


  1. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be posted here. Your continued use of our website and services constitutes agreement to any updates.
