Welcome to Lotus Life, therapy & wellness.

Our approach

Lotus Life offers two distinct yet complementary paths to healing. First, we provide mental health therapy grounded in evidence-based techniques like ACT and DBT, integrated with somatic and mindfulness practices to support those navigating trauma, neurodivergence, and grief. Second, we offer holistic wellness services—including therapeutic yoga, biofield tuning, sound healing, labyrinth walks, and Reiki—to promote stress relief, emotional balance, and energetic harmony. Together, these services create a comprehensive approach to well-being, nurturing the mind, body, and spirit.

Therapy Approach I am a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience in mental health, working in outpatient therapy, partial hospitalization programs, behavioral health, and private practice. My passion lies in supporting individuals, families, and groups at various levels of care, using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and chronic stress.

My approach to therapy is deeply intuitive and creative, blending proven therapeutic techniques with somatic and mindfulness-based practices. I work best with individuals experiencing trauma, neurodivergence, grief, or a sense of disconnection. Sessions with me aren’t just about deep healing—they’re also about real talk, moments of lightness, and the occasional well-placed F-bomb. Therapy should feel authentic, and I strive to create a space where clients feel safe to process, heal, and grow.

One of my favorite tools is sandtray therapy—a powerful, creative method that allows clients to explore emotions, experiences, and challenges using miniature figures and a sand tray. This approach is particularly helpful for those who find verbal expression difficult, as it taps into the subconscious and uncovers patterns and emotions that might be hard to articulate. Whether building a world in the sand or simply shifting pieces, this process fosters expression, self-reflection, and healing.

I believe that growth isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up, one messy, beautiful step at a time. If that resonates with you, let’s connect and begin the journey of untangling, laughing, and healing—one session at a time.

Holistic Wellness Offerings In addition to my work as a therapist, I am a 500-hour trained yoga instructor and a yoga therapist in training. I incorporate movement, breathwork, and mindfulness practices into my sessions to support nervous system regulation and overall healing. As a Level 2 Reiki practitioner, I also integrate energy healing techniques when appropriate, providing a holistic approach that honors the mind-body connection.

I am also trained in Biofield Tuning and sound healing, incorporating these powerful vibrational therapies into my wellness offerings. Through my studies in these modalities, I have gained an understanding of how sound frequencies and energy balancing can support emotional release, nervous system regulation, and overall well-being. By integrating tuning forks, sound bowls, and harmonic resonance techniques, I help clients release energetic blockages and restore balance on a holistic level.

These wellness practices promote emotional regulation, stress reduction, and overall well-being. Whether incorporated into therapy or offered as standalone healing modalities, they support individuals in finding balance, inner peace, and self-connection.

Storm, Part Time Telehealth Therapy Dog

Storm is a highly skilled telehealth therapy dog and an expert in emotional support, comedic relief, and occasional screen photobombing. As a standard poodle, he takes his role very seriously—whether it’s greeting you with an enthusiastic "hello" at the beginning of each session, offering a perfectly timed head tilt, or insisting that every tough conversation could be improved with petting him.

During sessions, you’ll often find Storm napping peacefully in the background—he’s a master of self-care, after all. But don’t worry, he knows exactly when it’s time to rejoin the conversation at the end, ensuring a proper close to your session.

With years of experience in being ridiculously cute, Storm specializes in:
-Greeting you with a warm hello at the start of sessions
-Napping soundly while you work through your challenges
-Demonstrating radical self-care by stretching dramatically mid-session
-Providing virtual snuggles and judgment-free listening

While he may not be the one giving advice, he’s always there to remind you to take a deep breath, find joy in the little things, and never underestimate the power of a good snack. If you spot him in the background, feel free to say hi—he loves the attention!

Just like the lotus, we too have the ability to rise from the mud, bloom out of the darkness, and radiate into the world.
